This presentation will examine the most common mistakes in energy renovation — from thermal bridging and poor airtightness to inconsistencies between design and construction — that must be avoided to deliver genuine energy savings and higher-quality buildings.
It will explain the regulatory requirements introduced by the Zero-Emission Building (ZEB) standard and what they will mean for architects and engineers in everyday practice.
The presentation will highlight the key changes that will shape the future design, renovation and construction of buildings.

Decentralised ventilation with heat recovery is a modern solution for both new-build and refurbishment projects.
Why is conventional ventilation not always the best solution? How can good indoor air quality be maintained without opening windows and causing unnecessary heat loss?
This presentation will demonstrate how decentralised ventilation systems with heat recovery are changing the way residential and other buildings are ventilated.

The greatest savings in structural construction can often be achieved below ground level, due to the direct interrelationship between building elements — including beam depths, clear heights, column and wall heights, and the area requiring waterproofing — as well as the volume of work involved, such as excavation and removal of excavated material, and environmental factors such as groundwater. How can this be achieved?
CONTEMPORARY TRENDS IN CONSTRUCTION (please note that all of the lectures will be held in Croatian)
